About Nomu

Bold flavours born in Asia, served in the heart of St. Helier. Eat something extraordinary. Drink something unforgettable. Tell your friends.

飲む. To Drink. Don't Let the Name Fool You.  Nomu is Japanese for "to drink", but the kitchen is where this place earns its name. Hand-folded dumplings, seven to a portion, six fillings deep. Ramen pulled to order in tonkotsu, Korean and Cantonese broths. Katsu, the way it should be done. Wok fried mains big enough to share and small plates you'll fight over. The bar holds its own, which is just as well given what we called the place. Asian beers and speciality cocktails along with a variety of your regular premium drinks. But the food is the reason to book the table.

Chilli, garlic, ginger, and gochujang. Seven dumplings to a portion, seven fillings, three dipping sauces with proper bite. Ramen pulled to order in tonkotsu, Korean and Cantonese broths. Katsu with a proper curry sauce. Wok-fired mains that come out loud, ribs and wings glazed three ways, Korean rice rolls cut thick. Plenty here for plant eaters, too. Order a few things, share what you can, fight over the last gyoza.  It's messy. It's addictive. It's intentional.
